We may be stuck inside right now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get some glances out at the outside and natural world when we can.

While visitors and patrons have been banned from the zoos across the country, that doesn’t mean you can’t get some time to look at the furry and funny little guys in their habitats. Many zoos across the country are offering live-streams of their animals, and it is adorable!

The Shedd Aquarium has been taking their penguins on tours of the facility:

Miles away from Shedd, Monterey Bay Aquarium is has a variety of webcams up for people to watch from home:

Monterey has the webcams going during standard business hours with re-runs playing during off hours. You can find the streams on YouTube, as you’ll see below:

But it isn’t just aquatic life you can see, the Smithsonian’s National Zoo has webcams of giant pandas, elephants, lions, and naked mole rats to watch. The stream for that is 24/7, but since the zoo shut down and the streams are not being managed by volunteers, the animals may wander out of frame every now and then.

Seeing animals can be soothing for all of us, so don’t hesitate to look for these webcams when you feel your anxiety creeping up. Right now, we are all looking for things that can help us feel better and this is a wonderful way to keep ourselves grounded with some help from our animal friends.
