Tattoo artist, Daniel Silva, has been charged with murder following the death of YouTuber, Corey La Barrie.
La Barrie, 25, died in a car accident on May 10th in Los Angeles, with Silva allegedly behind the wheel.
Silva, a former contestant on the reality show, Ink Master, was later arrested and L.A. County district attorney’s office confirms he has been charged with killing La Barrie.
According to legal documents, Silva “did unlawfully, and with malice aforethought” kill the YouTuber.
“A 26-year-old man has been charged with killing the passenger in his McLaren sports car after crashing into a tree in Valley Village earlier this month,” the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced, ” said the district attorney’s office on Tuesday.”
The statement added:
“If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 15 years to life in state prison.”
Silva was alleged to be driving his car eastbound on Huston Street at a high speed when he lost control of the vehicle, running the car off the road and crashing into a stop sign and tree. Police say Silva exited the vehicle and tried to leave the scene, before being stopped by passerby.
He was injured in the crash but did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
Silva has posted $2 million bail while waiting arraignment.
